2 cups maple syrup grade A dark amber, 1 cup strong coffee, 1 vanilla bean, 3/4 cup vodka, 3/4 cup brandy
Combine coffee and maple syrup. Heat, if necessary, and stir until well-mixed. Instant coffee may be disolved in a little water,
if needed. Place vanilla bean in a jar. Add the vodka and brandy. Add coffee solution. Cover tightly and shake. Shake each day for 3 weeks. Strain and filter.
Makes approximately 5 cups. Whole coffee beans (up to 10) may be added with the vanilla bean.
Hot Apple Cider
1 gallon apple cider, 1 1/2 cup maple syrup, 2 large cinnamon sticks, 1 teaspoon ground allspice, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Perk in percolator and serve.
